Blank Cassette (Meditations in an Emergency)
music video for Cynthia Nelson Band
from the 2023 album, For Days

Cynthia Nelson (Ruby Falls, Cynthia Nelson Band) is a 90s idie rock heroine of mine. When she invited me to create a video for a song on her new album, I was delighted. I listened to the album several times and I loved the driving pop sound of “Blank Cassette.” I created this video using footage from a  Ruby Falls tour video from September 1993, shot by Andrew Bordwin and edited by Suki Hawley.
